OAK GROVE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. The design of this freestanding addition featured North-facing windows that framed the view of a stand of ancient oaks, a sheltered outdoor classroom, a full-sized classroom, a project room, and a library/media center. The third and fourth graders created a set of drawings of the school for the project opening day. James Carr, AIA was Project Architect and lead designer of this project at Bowles, Kendrick & Lemanski, Architects, (now Lemanski & Rockwell) in San Francisco, California.
