Complete renovation of a 2,300 SF house in historic Belfast, Maine. The owners wanted the house to be inviting and comfortable for visits from their out-of-town children and grandchildren, as well as having the capacity for the future possibility of full-time live-in assistance for themselves. To this end, the entrances were re-worked (including adding a front porch), living spaces and circulation were completely re-organized, and dormers were added at the front and rear-providing space for a master bedroom suite and second upstairs bath, and an efficiency kitchenette/pantry.
