The Endicott Estate is a unique Town-owned historic mansion used for both public and private events. Extensive damage to the exterior had resulted from water infiltration and deferred maintenance. A complete rebuilding of the prominent entrance porch was required. This project included ADA access, structural reinforcement, drainage improvements, water proofing, new decking, railing, and trim details. Special attention was given to accurately recreating the original 1904 decorative elements such as the balustrade, columns and entablature with all new materials, and solving complex accessibility issues while maintaining the historic appearance of the building — all within the challenging environment of public bid construction.
