SUSTAINABILITY PEER REVIEW – CITY OF BOSTON


James Carr, architecture + design, LLC was selected to provide Design Review Consulting Services for the City of Boston’s Public Facilities Department (PFD), for the scope of Green Building Technology and Sustainability.

This project includes Peer Review of architectural and engineering proposals, studies, reports, designs, construction documents, specifications, checklists, submittals, calculations, and cost estimates for projects in all phases from programming through construction administration.


Our range of services includes written evaluation comments on proposed systems and materials’ sustainability and energy efficiency; verification of compliance with LEED, Passive House, BERDO, Zero Net Carbon, Fossil Fuel Free or other requirements; verification of compliance with energy codes and other state or federal regulations, city ordinances or initiatives; review of energy models, related reports, and utility or governmental incentives; support or assistance with implementing high-efficiency, high-performance, integrated, sustainable designs; visitation to existing or new facilities under construction; and virtual or in-person meetings with design architects and engineers or other sub-consultants or officials as needed.
